There are things a bassist comes to expect in their search for equipment and basses. It is the simple fact that guitar stores usually have a small selection of bass gear hidden among the large offerings of 6 string cowboy weapons. That is not the case with this store. Welcome to a UK Bass Holy Land. There was so much eye candy and things to look at, treasures hidden behind treasures, that I couldn't take it all in on the first visit. Which means, there will be a second, a third, a fourth, and even more visits when I come to London. Excellent shop.
Was recommend to come here for a tune-up, our band was just about to go into the studio to record and I needed some work done on my bass. Super friendly and professional staff who knew exactly what was going on, picked up the guitar a day later and was extremely impressed. Engineer in the studio also complimented how consistent and solid it sounded. 10/10 would recommend this place for any tech work you need doing!
I live in Europe, and in my search for a light-weight, 5-string bass I have visited many music shops in the continent's capital cities. Why did I bother? The Bass Gallery is an Aladdin's Cave for bass players. If you're serious about bass, there's no better experience that I am aware of.

Fantastic shop with a wide range of everything bass centric. Their own built basses are as good as anything on the market and very good value for money. Very knowledgeable staff and a really relaxed atmosphere. I have had two basses built for me and have bought amps and cabs as well as an excellent Rim six string.
The best bass guitar shop! They have a great selection of vintage and modern basses, all the classics to the rather obscure! Martin is such a nice guy and was very helpful. He was happy for me to take my time choosing the right bass and even did a restring/setup for me once I'd found the one!
I decided to review based on The Bass Gallery's response to a warranty claim. They arranged a return of a faulty speaker with Aguilar's UK distributor for me and I have recieved the speaker taken out of a new cab as parts stock is not available. Now that's the hallmark of a good company to deal with so well done to The Bass Gallery and to Barnes and Mullins for a very happy outcome and their support.
A great resource for the electric bass player. They have a large stock of quality instruments, new and used. Definitely the place for a vintage Fender or Music Man. A wide range of amplification and accessories completes the ensemble. Guitar luthiers are also on site. Well worth a visit to the wonderful Camden Town area ...
Recently had some work done on an old Musicman Sabre and a Jazz Bass, new electronics in both and the best set up i've ever had. Really good work, quickly done at a fair price. The shop is an Aladdin's Cave for Bass players. Will be my go-to for all things bass, much appreciated
Here you will find genuine, down to earth and passionate people, as well as all the bass gear you could possibly need. None of the pushy sales tactics which usually put me right off of buying anything or ever coming back to a music shop - I bought a bass and without me even asking they offered to pricematch, as well as a set up to my preference on the spot without extra charge.
